uVida Activity: Step protocol - treadmill and cycle ergometer
The step test as a validated spiroergometric test procedure, e.g. for determining VO2max, individual anaerobic threshold (IAAS) and training areas
Start:
Depending on device and profile selection with 25 Watt (beginner), 50 Watt (advanced), 80 Watt (professional) or 5 km/h (beginner), 6 km/h (advanced), 7 km/h (professional)
Increase:
Every 3 minutes, depending on the device and profile selection, increase the power by 25 watts (beginner), 30 watts (advanced), 40 watts (professional) or 1.0 km/h (beginner), 1.5 km/h (advanced), 2 km/h (professional) until the test person has reached their personal maximum power. Then initiate regeneration phase.
Initiate regeneration phase:
Click on the „Start regeneration“ button in the app or press the control button on the arm section of the uVida DYNOSTICS analysis device once.
Measure recovery ability:
Reset resistance to the watts or km/h displayed in the app and continue to ride or run loosely for 3 minutes.
